What is Charme Dance AI?
Charme Dance AI is the baile charme trend from one photo: AI puts you in the middle of a crowded night street party in Rio, where you dance charme, the smooth side steps, shoulder rolls and cool turns of Brazilian soul parties, while the crowd dances and films around you.
It follows the moves and handheld camera of the AI reel that started the wave, so the steps, the look at the dancer next to you, the low groove and the turn land on the same beats. You add one photo, nothing else. Videos start at 15 credits.
What the template recreates
One handheld phone take from inside the crowd, 28 seconds, on the reel's timing.
- 0–3 s
The side steps
Close to the lens, you nod to the beat, turn to the camera and start sliding left and right, hands low in front.
- 3–6 s
The crowd joins in
You glance at the dancer beside you in a white tank top, then turn back and keep stepping while a man in a hat dances along.
- 6–9 s
Low groove
Someone throws a hand up and cheers. You bend into the steps, knees low, eyes on your feet.
- 9–12 s
The turn
You turn slowly away from the camera, all the way round, and finish facing it with a cool gesture.
- 12–20 s
Snaps and the man in the hat
Facing the camera, you snap your fingers to the beat, glance at the dancer in the hat beside you and step closer to the lens as the crowd fills the frame behind you.
- 20–28 s
Side by side
You dance shoulder to shoulder with the man in the hat while the front row claps, then finish in the middle with both hands up at your temples.
Where the baile charme trend came from
Charme is the soul and R&B party dance of Rio de Janeiro, born in the early 1980s: small gliding side steps danced by a whole crowd at once. Its best-known party meets under the Viaduto de Madureira, and it also fills the street parties at Pedra do Sal, a historic square in the old port.
On 7 August 2026 the dancer @zenegaooficial posted his charme in the packed Pedra do Sal crowd at night (1.6 million views). On 16 October @seuzerj turned it into an AI reel of a white-haired grandpa, Seu Zé de Madureira, out-dancing the crowd. A CapCut template followed, and from 18 October tutorials sent thousands of people to put themselves, and action-movie stars, in his place.

Photo tips for the best charme video
Face sharp and forward
Eyes and mouth clearly visible, no sunglasses. The camera stays close, so your face fills a big part of the frame.
Show some body
Waist up or full body works best: the steps and shoulder rolls need your arms and shoulders in the photo.
Dress for the party
You dance in the clothes from your photo, so a summer-night outfit fits the street party best.
Use your own photo
Use a photo of yourself or of an adult who said yes. Never a stranger, a child or a public figure.

An AI-made grandpa character from the TikTok account @seuzerj. His 16 October 2026 reel is an AI edit of a real charme clip that the dancer @zenegaooficial filmed at Pedra do Sal. He is not a real person, and your video doesn't show him: the dancer is the person in your photo.
Charme is a Brazilian street dance from Rio de Janeiro, danced since the early 1980s to slow R&B and soul: small gliding side steps, rolling shoulders and cool turns, usually by the whole crowd at once. Baile is Portuguese for a dance party, so a baile charme is a charme party.
One sharp photo of one person, face turned to the camera, from the waist up or full body. You dance in the clothes and hairstyle from your photo.
Not in this template: it is made for one adult dancing in a crowd of adults. For pets, try our pet templates, such as La Calabaza.
