How to Make the Charme Dance AI Video: Dance Baile Charme in Rio From One Photo

The baile charme AI trend, step by step: what it is, who Seu Zé de Madureira is, which photo to use, full 28-second video or 15-second highlight, the sound and the cost — no CapCut needed.

How to Make the Charme Dance AI Video: Dance Baile Charme in Rio From One Photo

A phone in a packed night crowd in Rio, bright floodlights overhead, and one dancer gliding through the smooth charme side steps while everyone around cheers and films. That's the baile charme AI trend of October 2026 — here's how to be the one dancing, from one photo.

What is the charme dance AI trend?

Charme is Rio de Janeiro's soul and R&B party dance, danced since the early 1980s: small gliding side steps, rolling shoulders and cool turns, usually by the whole crowd at once. A baile charme is a charme party; the famous ones meet under the Viaduto de Madureira and at Pedra do Sal, a historic square in the old port.

On 7 August 2026 the dancer @zenegaooficial posted his charme in the Pedra do Sal crowd (1.6 million views). On 16 October @seuzerj turned it into an AI reel of a white-haired grandpa, Seu Zé de Madureira, out-dancing everyone. A CapCut template followed, and from 18 October tutorials sent thousands of people to put themselves in his place. Our Charme Dance template follows the moves and handheld camera of that 16 October reel.

How to make it

  1. Open the Charme Dance template.
  2. Add one photo of yourself: face to the camera, waist up or full body.
  3. Pick a version. Premium makes the whole 28-second take; Balanced makes its first 15 seconds.
  4. Generate. Your photo is reviewed first, then the video renders in a few minutes.
  5. Download and post. The MP4 already has the reel's sound on it.

What happens in the video

  • 0–3 s: close to the lens, you nod to the beat, turn to the camera and start sliding left and right.
  • 3–9 s: you glance at the dancer beside you, keep stepping, then bend low into the groove while someone cheers.
  • 9–12 s: a slow full turn, finishing with a cool gesture at the camera.
  • 12–20 s: finger snaps, a look at the man in the hat, and a few steps closer to the camera.
  • 20–28 s: you dance side by side with him while the front row claps, and finish with both hands up at your temples.

The Balanced version stops at 15 seconds, as you dance toward the man in the hat.

Photos that work best

  • Face sharp and forward. Eyes and mouth visible, no sunglasses — the camera stays close.
  • Waist up or full body. The steps and shoulder rolls need your arms and shoulders.
  • Dress for a summer night. You dance in the clothes from your photo.
  • Your own photo. Or an adult who said yes. Never a stranger, a child or a public figure.

You keep your own hairstyle: you won't get the grandpa's white afro, glasses or red shirt unless they're already in your photo.

Does it have sound?

Yes. The finished MP4 comes with the sound of the reel the template follows, synced to the steps. You can also swap in the trending baile charme sound when you post.

What does it cost?

Premium (the full 28 seconds) is 50 credits at 480p, 110 at 720p and 195 at 1080p; Balanced (the 15-second highlight) starts at 15 credits. Without an account, one video costs from $7.99 at checkout. Each account's first full 480p video costs 20 credits. No watermark, and failed renders are refunded automatically.

FAQ

Do I need the CapCut app? No. The template runs in any browser: one photo in, a vertical video with sound out.

Is Seu Zé de Madureira a real person? No. He's an AI-made character from the TikTok account @seuzerj, and he doesn't appear in your video — the dancer is the person in your photo.

Can I use a photo of my pet or my kid? Not in this template: it's made for one adult dancing in a crowd of adults. For pets, try La Calabaza.

Full video or highlight? Premium's 28 seconds has the whole reel, including the side-by-side dance at the end. Balanced's 15 seconds is cheaper and covers the steps, the groove and the turn.
