Ramalama AI Video Generators (2026): GoFaceless vs Media.io vs MakeViral vs Kavel vs apt video ai

Five tools that make the Ramalama costume walk from a photo, compared: which ones make the real walk-and-reveal (some make a witch on a broom), group and pet support, whether "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" is included, watermarks and what one video costs.

Ramalama AI Video Generators (2026): GoFaceless vs Media.io vs MakeViral vs Kavel vs apt video ai

Disclosure: we make apt video ai, one of the tools below. Everything about the others comes from their own public pages, checked on October 18, 2026 — prices and features change, so check before you buy.

The Ramalama trend is a costume walk set to Róisín Murphy's "Ramalama (Bang Bang)": the camera films your legs as you walk toward it, then whips up on "takin' a picture of me" to reveal your Halloween costume. Several sites now make it from a photo — but not all of them make that walk. Two of the best-known default to a different version, a witch flying on a broom.

Is there a CapCut template for the Ramalama trend?

We couldn't find one on CapCut's site: its Ramalama explore pages return "not found", and searches turn up unrelated templates. MakeViral and Kavel both mention a CapCut AI template called "Ramalama bang-bang" for the witch-on-a-broom version, but we couldn't verify it.

The short answer

  • The real walk-and-reveal with the song, solo or a squad from separate photos: apt video ai
  • Up to four people and many costume presets, if you'll make several a month: GoFaceless (subscription)
  • Your cat or dog as a witch: MakeViral's pet version
  • Try before paying: GoFaceless (7-day trial, watermarked) or Media.io (sign-up credits)

How each tool makes the video

Motion from a real walk (apt video ai)

apt video ai follows a depth map of a real viral walk — for the squad, a real trio — so the low-angle strut, the whip-up and the reveal land on the beat. The depth map carries only movement and camera; your photo supplies the face, and you pick one of 10 costumes or keep the outfit in your photo. The squad version takes a separate photo of each friend, with the leader in the middle.

Templates (GoFaceless, Media.io)

GoFaceless films the low walk in a costume you choose from 24 presets (or describe) and reveals every face on the beat, for up to four people. It's subscription-only, and trial videos carry its watermark. Media.io makes the walk from a single photo; groups work when everyone is in that one photo, and you add the official sound in TikTok.

Prompts and a different version (MakeViral, Kavel)

MakeViral's person version is a 10-second witch on a broom from a prompt — its page says a human costume walk isn't in the template yet — while its pet version copies an AI kitten reel and keeps 15 seconds of the song. Kavel also defaults to the broom flight, with a costume-walk preset, and returns sound effects and a beat instead of the song.

What one video really costs

  • apt video ai: without an account, a solo or squad video costs $7.99 (Balanced, 480p) or $9.99 (Premium, 480p). With credits (about $0.41–0.50 each), the solo walk is 10 credits on Balanced and 25 on Premium at 480p; the squad is 15 and 30. Each account's first full 480p video costs 20 credits, which the $9.90 pack covers.
  • GoFaceless: no single purchase; the Starter plan is $29 a month for 5,000 credits, which it describes as about five videos.
  • Media.io: the page doesn't state a price per video.
  • MakeViral: the person version is 126 credits (about $12.60 at $0.10 a credit); the pet version is 228 credits (about $18–23 depending on the pack).
  • Kavel: $9.99 for one 720p clip; about $6.57 a clip on its first-purchase pack of 2,800 credits for $19.90.

Which one should you use?

  • You want the walk everyone is posting, with the song: apt video ai or GoFaceless.
  • You're doing it with friends from separate photos: apt video ai's squad (2–3) or GoFaceless (up to 4, on a subscription).
  • You want one video without a subscription: apt video ai from $7.99.
  • You want your pet in it: MakeViral's pet version; apt video ai's Ramalama templates take people only.
  • You want the witch on a broom instead: MakeViral or Kavel.

Whatever you use: a clear, front-facing photo works best, and label the video as AI when you post.
